I love it when Men’s Mag’s discuss the issue of pornography from a masculine perspective. We don’t have to get into the is it good, is it bad, the moral debate, free speech, censorship - what we can do is look in the mirror and ask ourselves is porn enhancing our lives, our masculinity, our relationships . . or not . . . is it brining more love into our lives . . . or less . . . GQ, a popular men’s magazine recently tackled this issue. In this video I’m going to share with you GQ’s 10 reasons to stop watching porn. Here's the article - http://www.gq.com/blogs/the-feed/2013/11/10-reasons-why-you-should-quit-watching-porn.html
This video contains the CURE FOR SEX ADDICTION AND PORN ADDICTION. I was trapped in the throes of compulsive sexual behavior, rotting away on the inside, and wasting my life - so I know what you're going through and I know the lies that we tell ourselves to justify our mediocrity and porn addiction and sex addiction. It's now my life's mission to empower men to become the best they can be . . . the best lover, husband, leader, and father . . . I was none of these things until I profoundly changed my life and embraced this critical realization. I spent decades focusing on not doing something. It wasn't until I hit rock bottom (lost a six figure job - almost lost my wife and kids) that I experienced this shift and started to focus on what I needed to do instead of PMO. Whatever you do, and whatever path you take, when you are successful, I believe you will have this same realization. Here's a link to my video where I share the "cure" for sex addiction and porn addiction http://www.themindfulhabit.com/the-cure-for-sex-addiction-and-porn-addiction/ Let me know what you think. Some people loved this video and some hated it. What do you think?
Porn addiction is meeting powerful needs in your life. Despite it's negative impact, it's safe. In this video I share the role fear plays in your compulsion.
Habits control our lives and bad habits drive your sex and porn addiction. We are a slave to habits. We need them - we couldn't function without them. Duke scientists proved that we spend up to 50% of our waking hours in "Habitland" - subconsciously, automatically, and instantly reacting to external stimuli. But if you master the habit cycle, you can make a powerful impact on your sex addiction and porn addiction.
Your triggers are a gift. That's right ... A gift. Why? Because they aren't going away and with the right training you can use them to create an in the moment awakening that will free you from the shackles of compulsive thinking and addiction.
In this powerful interview, Craig talks to a partner who refused to let her husband's sex addiction and porn addiction keep her down. Allison shares her experience that mimics what so many other partners feel before they discover their partner's sex addiction. She talks about how she used this opportunity to find herself, grown and transform into her best self in the process.
Installing safety for both partners is critical for couples struggling with sex addiction and porn addiction. Safety is the foundation of a great relationship. And safety is breached by sex addiction and porn addiction. Safety must exist for BOTH parties if the relationship moves forward in a healthy way.
I'm Craig Perra, the Founder of the Mindful Habit to End Sex and Porn addiction. In this video, I'm going to introduce one of the most powerful behavior change modalities on the planet. Mindfulness - learn this and change your life and I'm going to give you a powerful easy mindfulness exercise - The Mindfulness Minute. Mindfulness is critical - it's fundamental; it is one of the pillars upon which my model is based. It is the most effective behavior change modality period. It has changed my life and the lives of so many of my clients. Do it and it will help you cure your cravings, be less angry, and happier. Kind of a no brainer right? What is it? Mindfulness pioneer John Kabat-Zinn (check this guy out) defined mindfulness as follows. Mindfulness is paying attention in a particular way: on purpose, in the present moment, without judgement (Kabat-Zinn, 1994, p. 4). It's being present, not living in the past, not automatically reacting to external stimuli like a sexual trigger. It's being here and it's being now. I talk more about this in my online course, but I want to put mindfulness in perspective for you, there are a number of ways to achieve and practice mindfulness: meditation is the most common and popular way. Another way to experience is to actually do whatever you're doing and focus on that thing you are doing to the exclusion of all else - instead of your mind bouncing around like a pinball. When you walk walk, when you talk talk, when you eat eat - focus on the now! I'm going to give you a simple exercise at the end of this module. Not only is mindfulness a critical tool in the fight against compulsive behaviors it has a whole bunch of other incredible benefits. mindfulness is not only associated with feeling less stressed, it's also linked with decreased levels of the stress hormone cortisol, It Protects your brain, It makes you a better person - more compassionate, It helps you sleep better, Is a key to win with compulsive behaviour "Mindfulness is also compromised when you behave compulsively or automatically, without awareness of or attention to one's behavior Mindfulness is mission critical brothers and sisters. Here is the easiest mindfulness exercise that I want you to do right now. I call it The Mindful Minute. Dedicate one Breath and count your breaths for one minute - to the exclusion of all else. It's that easy. Sit down, hold you back straight, close your eyes almost all the way, and breath. Focus only on your breaths and counting. Breath in, out - one; in . . . out . . . two. Watch how quickly the mind starts racing and thinking of other things. Watch the pinball bounce around. Most people can't get to three or four their first try. When you get distracted, gently bring your focus back to your breaths and the counting. Breath, and count your breaths . . . that's it.

Hack The Habit Cycle and Break Free of Porn Addiction and Sex Addiction I'm Craig Perra, C.P.C., J.D., the Founder of The Mindful Habit method to End Porn and Sex Addiction. In this webinar I share with you a lesson about habits and addictions that changed my life forever - I too struggled with compulsive sexual behavior and pornography. It cost me a six figure job and almost cost me my family. I literally ruined my life but this lesson changed me in powerful ways. And I want it to do the same for you. This lesson is one of the most important things I teach my one on one clients and one of the reasons I'm now one of the top sex and porn addiction coaches in the world. Here's your reality - habits are driving your compulsive behavior and it's time to set you free. In this FREE webinar, you are going to learn one of the most important things I teach in my one on one coaching - the habit cycle. I'm going to show you exactly how habits are wreaking havoc on your life and tell you exactly what you can do about it. I'm going to teach you: *the three phases of the habit cycle that will immediately immediately enhance your ability to embrace your power of choice and break free of compulsive sexual behaviors *a powerful little know fact about triggers that will forever change the way you experience them *a powerful tool that's going to help you hack the habit cycle to create space that will immediately empower you to embrace your power of choice. We are creatures of habit. We need habits to survive. In fact we can't function without them. You couldn't even get out of bed in the morning if you had to consciously think of every biomechanical movement you had to make. Without habits we wouldn't have amazing guitar solos, awesome dancing, people kicking ass in video games, successful athletes . . . great habits produce greatness. We know this. And bad habits are ruining your life. It's time for that to stop. We also know that bad habits produce mediocrity, malaise, under-achievement, poor productivity, and overall a shitty life. Habits rule our life and the fact is you, like I did, probably know very little about them. If you are sick and tired of being sick and tired then this webinar is for you.
In this powerful podcast, Coach Craig talks to the partner of a sex addict. In this interview she shares the secret that propelled her success and how she finally broke free from a terrible relationship and found her beautiful self in the process.
To break a habit you have to make a habit. And when you're struggling with an addiction that means you must possess tools that empower you to shift that energy put in motion by your triggers. This simple yoga pose has really been helping my addict clients shift their energy and put themselves back in control.
It so easy to focus on the behavior - your sex addiction or porn addiction. But sex addiction and porn addiction is always the symptom, never the root cause. So why are you spending so much time obsessing over the symptom?
How important is goal setting in your quest to eliminate compulsive sexual behaviors? I'm Craig Perra, the Founder of the Mindful Habit to End Sex and Porn addiction. In this video, I'm going to tell you why goals are mission critical and get you started to creating the life you want Goals are beyond important - they are mission critical - you must at the start of any project to define your target - your project to change your life is no different. You need to know exactly what you want to accomplish. This helps you know exactly what success looks like. Setting goals is a fundamental component to success. Period. Think about it, you can't get where you are trying to go until you clearly define where that is. Research studies show a direct link between goals and enhanced performance in individuals and also in business. Goals help you focus and allocate your time and resources efficiently, and they can keep you motivated when you feel like giving up. It's important. You need to take action to create change and setting goals is a MUST. You must be able to create a vision for what you want and set goals that can help you get there. This means you must take action. You must focus on creating the life you want, not obsessively focusing on the life you are running away from. You have the power inside you right now to make profound change in your life. I'm just here to show you a path. Here's what I want you to do - Set one goal - not about not doing something - we already know what you don't want to do - watch porn - tackle this problem from another perspective - pick one attainable goal that you can accomplish over the course of the next 7 days.
In this episode of "Sex Addictions and Porn Afflictions," certified life coach and founder of the Mindful Habit challenges you to ask, "Why?" Once you understand why you do what you do, you can begin to live your healthiest and most wonderful life. Tune in to learn how.
In this video I’m going to show you how you can use your triggers - the same ones taking you down a pit of despair, the same one’s driving your compulsive behavior - sex addiction and porn addiction - as opportunities and how to drive positive behavior. I want to talk about a very, very powerful concept today and a concept around triggers. How to use your triggers ultimately to drive positive outcomes. This is significant because your triggers are biologically hardwired. They are not going away. Knowing this is significant because it gives you an instant opportunity to discharge the shame that we have or that many of us have around our behaviors. We feel crappy, we feel terrible, we feel bad, we feel miserable, we get lower and then what does that do? That just makes us fail again. What if instead of those triggers driving our addiction, driving our compulsion, those triggers, actually triggered positive action. What if we got millions of dollars and we developed an app that immediately alerted the user that they were slipping out of present, speeding into habitland? We’d be rich. It would change lives, but fortunately such an app is not needed - the alert system you seek is already inside you - it’s the same one’s driving you insane. Beep - it’s time to wake up. Why because what is always going to proceed YOU acting out sexually? What is always going to proceed you acting out in anger? What is always going to proceed your movement towards the cigarettes or pot or drugs or alcohol or eating, gambling? YOUR TRIGGERS I want you to think of your triggers as an alarm clock, as a wakeup call, as an opportunity, a gift. I want to change your perspective. Do this and completely change your life. Over the course of next few days pay attention to your triggers. Play with them - use them to “hack” your addiction cycle. Use your triggers to say wait a minute, For example: here’s my trigger to check out a hot chick, or a trigger to watch porn, or get angry . . . you pick. And ask yourself what if I use that trigger to program myself, to reprogram my brain, to use that trigger to do something else? What if that same trigger drove you to take positive action. Use your triggers as opportunities. Because they ain’t going away. I talk a lot about this powerful concept in my online course and my one on one coaching. It’s powerful and it changes lives. It changed mine. Now it’s your turn. See your triggers for the gift that they actually are and use them to embrace your power of choice.

In this podcast, Porn Habits & Sexuality, Craig delves into the darker components of male sexuality that manifest in often shameful porn watching habits. What does your porn viewing habits say about your sexuality? Could your porn use be clues to finding a deeper more authentic version of you male sexuality?
In this video I have a message to all the Porn Addict Dads and Husbands out there regarding the most popular genre of pornography on the web - teen porn. For the past two years, the search term “teen” has been the top search around the world. It’s also number one in the United States. I know, through first hand experience and my work with clients all over the world at www.themindfulhabit.com. Men gravitate towards teen porn and I’m here to tell you that’s it’s unhealthy and tell you why you need to stop. First, this genre is exploiting our evolutionary drive towards younger woman. For thousands of years (at least), men have, on average, mated with younger women, That's because, if all else is equal, "those who reproduce earlier, their genes are passed on faster," Simple evolutionary biology If you are in a committed monogamous relationship and over 30 let’s say - think about what this genre is teaching you about beauty and sexuality. It’s corrupting your hard drive brother and in no way can it be moving you closer to your partner. Second, it’s pseudo child porn - you know it and I know it. These young women, though 18 are often posed with pigtails, braces, slender and flat chested, stockings, in child like situations. Then they are brutally violated. You know and I know it. Yet the mind hides behind the legal fact that the woman is 18 - if she’s seventeen or younger, you go to jail if you possess the exact same content- but at 18 it’s morally right? I don’t think so. Pseudo-child porn not only implicitly endorses child abuse, it enculturates the viewer to eroticize children. And as a father and a husband, I want you to ask yourself, is this the man you want to be? Do you want to sexualize children - because that’s what’s happening when you’re watching teen porn - the most popular We are living in a society that is sexualizing our girls at a younger and younger age - and I need you to know that porn is on this spectrum. And I want you to be part of the solution, not the problem. So embrace your power of choice. Click Here to Learn More - http://www.themindfulhabit.com/ The Mindful Habit Method is a science based, action oriented, goal centric, and structured attack on your sex and porn addiction. It's grounded in powerful habit and mindfulness based behavior change modalities . . . and action. The program essentially has three phases. Awareness, Accountability and Action. I describe it this way. I describe it this way. In the awareness phase we start by running away from negative. We Identify in a precise way and run away from the negative habits, the addictive behavior, that brought you here, we run away from the negative stories from your past that still impact your life today —— and we do this through the lens of the habit cycle-the place you go go everytime you act out sexually. Here you bring powerful awareness to your habit cycle and learn tools to slow it down and create space between the thought to do something crazy or act out sexually, . . . and the action you ultimately take - This awareness and the tools you learn dramatically increases your ability to embrace your power of choice and lays a foundation for the next phase - accountability. In this phase we look in the mirror - we look at our lives and frankly, this is the place where you own your shit - no more victim - no more pointing the finger at someone else - you transform. . . . you become accountable —— you're at a place where you want to be to yourself for your plight on this earthly plane. In this phase you learn that you have far more control over your life than you ever imagined and you start moving towards the next phase - Action. At first in our journey, in the awareness phase, we run away from negative, then we cross the accountability bridge to run towards positive. This is absolutely critical - if you just stop doing something - like watching porn - you will fail. You must move forward. To break a habit you have to make a habit - the cure is the aggressive pursuit of a great life and in the action phase you start creating the life you've always wanted - a great life - free of compulsive sexual behaviors. We get into this heavy in my online course so if you want results - if you want to take action - sign up to embrace your power of choice.

Am I addicted to sex or pornography? I get this question a lot and the reality is it doesn't matter. Some people call it an addiction some people say the addiction doesn't exist and it certainly isn't recognized in the US as a mental disorder. I want you to focus on the impact - You can spend the next two months researching every article on the Internet, taking quizzes, learning about the intricacies of the brain, engrossing yourself in the debate over whether or not this is an addiction, yet still not be any closer towards your goals. Now listen, of course I care, I struggled with compulsive sexual behavior all my life - both with porn, and with people, I lost a 6 figure job, almost lost my wife and kids, and my mind. I know the horrors of this affliction, but I have serious reservations calling it anything that might do anything, even in the slightest way that abrogates, removes, eliminates your power of choice. So borrow, research and like a buffet, take as much as you need from the disease based addiction model world, because there are some very helpful tools, but instead of wasting weeks trying to see if your square peg of compulsive behavior fits into some round disease based model definition, instead, do what I do - walk the middle way and focus on what matters - the IMPACT - the impact your actions are having on your life. Your sexual energy is one of the most powerful forces in nature - the pinnacle of darwinian evolution. Are you using that sexual energy for good - are you creating a great life . . . or not? The answer I'm pretty sure is crystal clear. If it's out of control, there will be an impact on your relationships, your health, your career, your finances, your spirituality as you define it, and your hobbies.
