North Hollywood Shootout - Best Cut
- There were Two decent Documentaries on the N. Hollywood Bank Robbery... But Neither seemed Complete, and Each had Discrepancies about the Details. _____________ (PS, Skip to 10:39 if you know the Story) So I took both 45 Minute Documentaries, and Edited them into ONE, 40 Minute Doc. I really did this for Myself... But Hey. Why not Share, right? This contains Footage from "Shootout!", and some NatGeo documentary. As a side-note, I edited this together Last Night, and dreamed that I was one of the Gunmen. And it was SO BAD ASS. I was just Wasting people left and right. I ended up being Captured after I ran out of Ammo, and couldn't find my Pistol to Alt+F4 myself. I pretended to have a Russian accent. Also, for some reason, there was an Older Lady Cop that asked for my Permission to Stick my finger for a Blood Sample, after I was cuffed. I said yes, which surprised her. Weird. I kept trying to Wake Myself Up before the Policemen came and Beat the Shit out of me for being a Cop-killer.

LAPD ID Suspect in NoHo Cafe Killings - Nerses Arthur Galstyan - North Hollywood Shooting
LAPD ID Suspect in NoHo Cafe Killings - Nerses Arthur Galstyan - North Hollywood Shooting. Los Angeles - Law enforcement authorities identified a suspect on Friday in a shooting at a North Hollywood restaurant that left four people dead, and they asked for the public's help finding him. Nerses Arthur Galstyan, 28, who has not been arrested, is believed to be the man who opened fire inside the Hot Spot Cafe, 11651 Riverside Drive, around 4:30 p.m. Saturday. According to Los Angeles police, Galstyan was at the restaurant attending a party in memory of an acquaintance who had died in an accident a year earlier. During that celebration, Galstyan "became involved in a dispute with several men at the celebration and in anger fired multiple rounds, hitting and killing four of them," LAPD Chief Charlie Beck said. Three men died at the cafe, and a fourth died at a hospital. Two other people were injured, but survived. The dead men were identified by Los Angeles police as Harut Baburyan, 28, Sarkis Karadjian, 26, Vardan Tofalyan, 31, and Hayk Yegnanyan, 25. Police said Galstyan was seen on surveillance video inside the restaurant. Police initially said the victims appeared to have been targeted and that the shooting may have been related to Armenian gangs, but they said Friday the shooting was apparently just a dispute that erupted at a party. In February, Galstyan was charged in a federal indictment with conspiracy, engaging in the business of dealing in firearms without a license and possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number. According to the indictment, Galstyan allegedly met with a confidential informant on Sept. 2 and sold two .223-caliber semiautomatic rifles with obliterated serial numbers, along with two high-capacity magazines, for $3,600. Galstyan also allegedly told the informant that he could sell HK rifles with 8-inch barrels for $3,000 each, and that he routinely had AK weapons for sale, according to the indictment. Galstyan remained at large and police said he should be considered "armed and very dangerous."

North Hollywood Shootout
The North Hollywood shootout was an armed confrontation between two heavily-armed and armored bank robbers, Larry Eugene Phillips, Jr. and Emil Matasareanu, and patrol and SWAT officers of the Los Angeles Police Department in North Hollywood, Los Angeles, California on February 28, 1997. It happened when responding patrol officers engaged Phillips and Matasareanu leaving the robbed bank. Seventeen officers and civilians sustained injuries before both robbers were killed. Phillips and Matasareanu had robbed several banks prior to their attempt in North Hollywood and were notorious for their heavy armament, which included automatic rifles. United States patrol officers at the time were typically armed with a 9mm or .40 caliber pistol on their person, with a 12-gauge shotgun available in their cars. Phillips and Matasareanu carried fully automatic rifles and wore body armor. Since most handgun calibers cannot penetrate body armor, patrol officers had a significant disadvantage until SWAT arrived with equivalent firepower; they also appropriated several semi-automatic rifles from a nearby firearms dealer to help even the odds. The incident sparked debate on the appropriate firepower for patrol officers to have available in similar situations in the future.

The North Hollywood Shootout
The North Hollywood shootout, sometimes also called the Battle of North Hollywood, was an armed confrontation between two heavily armed and armored bank robbers and members of the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) in the North Hollywood district of Los Angeles on February 28, 1997. Both perpetrators were killed, twelve police officers and eight civilians were injured, and numerous vehicles and other property were damaged or destroyed by the nearly 2,000 rounds of ammunition fired by the robbers and police.[1] At 9:17 AM, Larry Phillips, Jr. and Emil Mătăsăreanu entered and robbed the North Hollywood Bank of America branch. Phillips and Mătăsăreanu were confronted by LAPD officers when they exited the bank and a shootout between the officers and robbers ensued. The two robbers attempted to flee the scene, Phillips on foot and Mătăsăreanu in their getaway vehicle, while continuing to engage the officers. The shootout continued onto a residential street adjacent to the bank until Phillips was mortally wounded, including a self-inflicted gunshot wound; Mătăsăreanu was killed by officers three blocks away. Phillips and Mătăsăreanu are believed to have robbed at least two other banks using virtually similar methods by taking control of the entire bank and firing illegally modified automatic weapons chambered with intermediate cartridges for control and entry past 'bullet-proof' security doors, and are possible suspects in two armored vehicle robberies.[2] Standard issue sidearms carried by most local patrol officers at the time were 9 mm pistols or .38 Special revolvers; some patrol cars were also equipped with a 12-gauge shotgun. Phillips and Mătăsăreanu carried illegally modified fully automatic Norinco Type 56 S-1s (an AK-47 variant), a Bushmaster XM15 Dissipator, and a HK-91 rifle with high capacity drum magazines as well as a Beretta 92FS pistol. The bank robbers wore heavy plate mostly homemade body armor which successfully protected them from handgun rounds and shotgun pellets fired by the responding officers. A police SWAT team eventually arrived bearing sufficient firepower, and they commandeered an armored truck to evacuate the wounded. Several officers also appropriated AR-15 and other semi-automatic rifles from a nearby firearms dealer. The incident sparked debate on the need for patrol officers to upgrade their firepower in preparation for similar situations in the future.[3] An officer was heard on the LAPD police frequency approximately 10-15 minutes into the shootout, warning other officers that they should "not stop [the getaway vehicle], they've got automatic weapons, there's nothing we have that can stop them."[4] Due to the large number of injuries, rounds fired, weapons used, and overall length of the shootout, it is regarded as one of the longest and bloodiest events in American police history.[5] Both men had fired approximately 1,100 rounds, while approximately 650 rounds were fired by police.[6] Another estimate is that a total of nearly 2,000 rounds were fired.[1]

Metro Los Angeles: Red Line: Union Station - North Hollywood (Full Journey)
One of the only full journeys on YouTube of Los Angeles' Metro Red Line, from Union Station east of Downtown to North Hollywood. The journey takes nearly half an hour and is entirely underground, traversing Downtown LA, northwest along the world-famous Hollywood Blvd, before going under the Hollywood Hills to Universal City and North Hollywood. Los Angeles has grown from being a city where the landscape has been dominated by car transport, to seeing an impressive renaissance of its once great rail system. Construction officially began on the Los Angeles County Metro Rail system in 1985. On July 14, 1990, the Blue Line began revenue service and became the first form of urban rail transit to serve Los Angeles since the closure of LA’s last streetcar lines in the 60s and 70s. The route ran from 7th St/Metro Center, in Downtown Los Angeles, to Long Beach. In 1993, the Southern California Rapid Transit District and the Los Angeles County Transportation Commission were merged to become the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority, soon to be rebranded as Metro. That same year, the first stretch of a full-blown underground subway opened, mostly through Downtown Los Angeles, from Union Station to Westlake/MacArthur Park. It was known as the Red Line and Purple Line, soon to branch out and become separate routes in the future. In 1995, the Green Line opened as the second light rail line to serve the city, and traveled from Norwalk to Redondo Beach. The line connected with Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) through a free shuttle that would take you into airport premises. 1999 saw the extension of both the Red Line and Purple Line, finally becoming separate entities. The Red Line was extended to Hollywood/Vine, and the Purple Line was built to Wilshire/Western. The next year, in 2000, the Red Line was extended to its current terminus of North Hollywood. In 2003, the Gold Line became the third light rail route to open in LA, and went from Union Station to Sierra Madre Villa, in Pasadena. It would be later extended to Atlantic station, in East LA, in 2009, and further east from Sierra Madre Villa to APU/Citrus College, in Azusa, in March 2016. The Orange Line became the first bus rapid transit (BRT) line to operate in Los Angeles in 2005, when service started from North Hollywood, where it connected with the Red Line, to Warner Center, west in the San Fernando Valley. It would be further extended north to Chatsworth in 2012, creating a split in the line at Canoga. LA’s second BRT line, the Silver Line, entered revenue service in 2009 and ran from El Monte, in East Los Angeles, to Harbor Gateway Transit Center, between Carson and Torrance. It would be extended to Pacific/21st St, in San Pedro, in 2016. 2012 saw the opening of the Expo Line, named after Exponential Blvd the line provides service on. The route initially ran from 7th St/Metro Center, in Downtown LA, to Culver City, before being extended to Downtown Santa Monica in May of 2016. The current network of urban rail for Los Angeles sits at what was just described above, but what can we expect for the future? Projects such as the Crenshaw/LAX line, the Regional Connector, which will drastically alter current rail service, and the extension of the Purple Line are all projects currently under construction and set to be completed within the next ten years. After that, we don't know, but there is much anticipation that this impressive rail system will continue to expand over the next several decades. In 27 years, Los Angeles has seen a rapid rebirth of urban rail-based transit options, similar to what Portland has experienced in recent decades. What we have seen is one of the most impressive comebacks of urban rail in any city in the nation, and that is something to appreciate. It will take many years to grow the current system out to better serve Los Angeles and the surrounding region, but if what has been done already can be accomplished again and again for decades to come, there is little doubt Los Angeles will be on its way to joining the great list of urban rail systems. Taco 'Bout It: Tacos El Venado in North Hollywood
There's always a go to set of meats that J9 and Vick One will try - the Asada and the Al Pastor. This time they changed it up with the multi - basically a quesadilla with corn tortillas. The sauces were perfectly spicy but the real winner was their "lemonade" which actually was, strawberry-lemonade. DELICIOUS. Here's how you can let us know where we should go next: Twitter - Hit up @vickone, @J9LA or @Real923la with the spot you want to see us at. Use #TacoBoutIt OR Instagram - Mention @vickone @J9LA or @Real923la. Use #TacoBoutIt. If we choose your suggestion we'll shout you out in the video.

Los Angeles Travel Tips: 13 Things to Know Before You Go to LA
Things you need to know before you travel to Los Angeles California. LA is HUGE. You won't be able to see all of LA, unless you're staying for a very very long time. Los Angeles doesn't have a "center" and Downtown LA is not very exciting. LA is comprised of multiple cities Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, Malibu. Get a rental car - You'll need it to see most tourist attractions in Los Angeles. 2. Traffic - LA has traffic everywhere, all the time. All day, every day. Yes, even at 1am on a weekend. Deal with it. - The freeways have names -- it's not I-405 -- it's "THE 405" 3. Public Transit - LA has a subway! - But it probably doesn't go where you want! Especially the beach! 4. Parking - Is often Valet - and Costs money everywhere - Except when you're parking on the freeway :) - Pay attention to street signs (confusing times and days) 5. Navigation - Know where you're going and take the correct exit - Take the wrong exit and you might end up in some place really sketchy - Lots of little cities, the street numbering changes in different cities 6. Weather - LA is not always sunny and warm - It gets cold -- particularly at night - Shorts in the day, but pants and a jacket at night - And the ocean water is cold too... 70 degrees is as warm as it gets - Inland can be 30 degrees warmer than the beach - Lots of sunscreen - Sunglasses - It's dry -- moisturizer 7. LA is unlike the rest of California - It can feel like a different country, or at least a different state - Venice Beach in particular 8. Hollywood is in the neighborhood called "Hollywood" - West Hollywood is in front of the Hollywood sign (and a different city) with Fancy homes - East Hollywood doesn't have much - North Hollywood over the mountain is a suburb of LA - Oh by the way -- no actors in Hollywood - And if you go see a 30 minute sitcom taping it will take 4+ hours 9. The Valley - Means San Fernando Valley - Burbank, Studio City, North Hollywood, Van Nuys 10. LA's most well known attractions are also some of the most rundown - Hollywood Boulevard or is Tijuana? - Venice Beach, oh my lord 11. LA is casual - Flip flops and shorts are OK except in the most dressy establishments 12. Bring your own shopping bag - Supermarkets charge 10 cents for shopping bags in California 13. Mexican Food in LA is awesome - Get some fish tacos! - And visit King Taco!
