Most Beautiful Black Sand Beaches In The World For More Videos : http://goo.gl/8NWCQ0 Follow us on facebook-https://www.facebook.com/PassionateVideo/?ref=hl 9. Vik Beach, Iceland Vik Beach is located in a small village located in the southern part of Iceland. Though you may think Iceland isn’t the prettiest place on Earth to go to enjoy a beach, Vik Beach was nominated one of the most beautiful beaches on Earth in 1991. Vik is also the wettest village in Iceland, so you want to make sure that you get to the beach on a day that isn’t so rainy. 8. Black Sand Beach, Alaska This beach is located just 60 miles from Anchorage. At this beach, you will see tidewater glaciers, waterfalls, green hillsides, and wildlife you won’t find at the zoo. If you look into the water or around you, you will see that the ten-thousand-foot peaks are reflected in the beautiful icy blue water. At this beach, one of the most popular things to do is to go kayaking. 7. Pololu Valley Beach, Hawaii Pololu Valley Beach is located at the end of Highway 270. At this beach, you will find that you have access to an excellent view of the Kohala Mountains as well as the coastline. This beach is probably one of the smallest in Hawaii, and it requires you to hike from the 400-foot lookout area to actually get to the beach. This means about 20 minutes of hiking. At this beach, activities such as snorkeling and swimming aren’t recommended because the currents are generally extremely strong and high surf conditions make the water dangerous. 6. Kehena Beach, Hawaii If you plan on going on vacation, this isn’t the place to take your family, especially if you have young children. The beach is said to be a nude beach, though this is illegal in Hawaii. At Kehena, you aren’t alone. Here you will find dolphins, which is why this beach is sometime called Dolphin Beach. You can even swim with these dolphins if the current isn’t too bad. 5. Kaimu Beach, Hawaii Kaimu Beach, though somewhat dangerous, is another great black sand beach that is a must see. During the 1990s, the beach was covered in about 20’ of lava. Recently, those who live near the beach have begun planting new trees and flowers to bring the beach back to life, so to speak. Ferns, palm trees, and other plants can be seen popping out of the cracks in the lava. It is advised that you don’t swim at this beach because of the strong currents, but standing in the water for a little won’t do much harm. 4. Black Sand Beach, California The Lost Coast of California stretches about 80 miles long. It is one of the lightest traveled coasts. If you have the courage and skill to master this coast, you will be greeted by peaks that are more than 2000 feet high. The highest is King’s Peak at 4,087 feet. You will also be greeted by a beach named Black Sand Beach. Though you can swim in this beach, most people don’t. 3. Honokalani Black Sand Beach, Maui Honokalani Black Sand Beach is located in the Wainapanapa State Park. The beach offers lava pebbles that are smooth and small. Around the beach you will find lava cliffs. You will also find sea caves, a sea arch, as well as seaside lava tubes. From the beach you can walk the King’s Highway, which is a path from the beach along the coast that takes you to Hana. As well as enjoy the beach, you can go diving and snorkeling at this beach. 2. Waianapanapa Black Sand Beach, Maui Waianapanapa Beach is a great black sand beach that was formed by waves crashing against volcanic rock over decades and decades. At this beach you can find some of the most beautiful sites you’ll ever see. You can look and go into sea caves, bridges made of natural stone, and you can look at the old King’s Highway. This highway used to encircle the island. If you are bringing your family to this beach, make sure that you try to visit during the summer months. In winter, the surf becomes extremely high, so swimming, surfing, and diving are all very dangerous here. When the surf is calm, you can kayak, swim, and scuba dive. 1. Punaluu Beach, Hawaii The top black sand beach in the world is Punaluu Beach, which is located on the Big Island of Hawaii. The beach is surrounded by black sand that was created by lava from volcanoes flowing into the ocean and then cooling. The ocean is said to be rocky, so be aware if you plan on going into the water. At this beach you will find Hawksbill turtles as well as Green sea turtles. Though the black sand is beautiful, it is illegal to take the sand off of the beach. Sometimes you just can’t take a piece of everything with you. Hello, This is Moumita Pal Here. I declare that all slideshow belong me. "To use this video in a commercial player, advertising or in broadcasts, please email Brave Bison at [email protected] Lava flow ocean entry at Kilauea volcano Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. Three part video. The Kamokuna ocean entry. These video clips are from my Gopro Hero 3+ shot at 1080p 60 fps. They're three different outings combined together. I'm finally catching up on editing and posting video and photos captured during the past month or two. As each new video is posted you'll be able to see the progression of the new land being added to The Big Island of Hawaii. Its quite fascinating. Part 1 shows a unique view of the sea cliff and a small new black sand beach that formed along the cliff. For you geologists, you can see all the layers of past eruptions in the sea cliff. Part 2 shows the same but, with an active flow slowly streaming down to the ocean. During this visit it was very stormy with lots of rain. The bike ride out there that night was quite exciting with all the heavy rain and constant thunder and lightning. Several inches of rain fell that night into morning. Part 3 is more subdued. Watch the small flow on the left closely as is slowly oozes over the cliff like jelly. Large waves pound the new land and ocean entry. Video from my Nikon D800 of that will soon follow this posting. As usual it was very windy. These visits it was mostly blowing onshore so, there's a bit of salt spray on the lens. Also, some minor swaying. I can't see the camera once its down there. The sea cliff averages about 45' in height. These new beaches are extremely dangerous. Stay away. Thanks for subscribing and watching. Many more videos to come. Be patient. What I do isn't always easy. My usual warning. Do not attempt to do what I do. I have 25 years of experience and I know what I'm doing out there. So many things can go wrong for those who don't understand or can't recognize the dangers of a volcanic eruption. Stay away and watch my videos instead. Having said my usual warning, let me add that this flow is accessible via hikes of at least 8-9 miles round trip. Expect large crowds of people. Be sure to carry at least 3 liters of water per person. Always use extreme caution at the sea cliffs and never walk out onto new land as it could easily collapse into the ocean taking you with it. As the bench grows the immediate sea cliff will be vulnerable to collapse also. I highly recommend you watching this HVNP safety video on safety at ocean entries. http://lavapix.com/#/page/lava-viewing-safety-video/ Also, its best not to breath if you find yourself engulfed in the steam plume. If you think you will be in it often, be sure to wear a respirator. Prints from my adventures can be purchased on my website lavapix.com. The Sand, also titled Blood Sand, is a 2015 American gore film directed by Isaac Gabaeff and starring Brooke Butler, Meagan Holder and Mitchel Musso. At least one version of the opening credits reads "Killer Beach," but the closing credits give the movie title as "The Sand. #LoveStory #Romantic Love stories #RomanticMovies #ActionMovies #romance #Drama #HorrorFilm #Horror #Thriller #WatchOnline STORY PLOT: A group of friends are having a party at the beach with some of their classmates. A girl named Heather (Etalvia Cashin) is videoing the party, when two of the boys, Vance (Hector David Jr.) and Gilbert (Cleo Berry), find a large ball covered in a strange gooey substance. All the teenagers agree to put their mobile phones in the trunk of a car in an effort to ensure that no one will post compromising pictures or videos online. The next morning two of the friends, Kaylee (Brooke Butler) and Mitch (Mitchel Musso) wake up on the lifeguard shack. Kaylee's boyfriend, Jonah (Dean Geyer), awakens in a nearby convertible next to a girl named Chanda (Meagan Holder). In the back seat are Vance and his girlfriend, Ronnie (Cynthia Murell). Gilbert wakes up, stuck from the waist down in a trash barrel, having been put there as a prank after passing out. A girl named Marsha (Nikki Leigh) wakes up, topless, having fallen asleep on top of a picnic table. The rest of the teenagers, including Heather, are nowhere to be found; there are, instead, a bunch of empty sleeping bags in their places.

We had a customer bring down some black sand tailings from a placer operation he had access to. He said the miners had removed all the gold the could from the black sands and these were the tailings left over after they were finished. The 30 lbs of material he ran had between 1-2 grams of gold! I was amazing to see how much more gold was recovered by our shaker table from "tailings". This was some very rich material and unlike hardrock ore this stuff is just sitting there in piles ready to be dug up and put on a shaker table, no need to mine it or blast it or crush it. If you have black sand tailings from old placer operations please send us a sample and see if we can recover any more gold from your material. Punaluu Black Sand Beach. Have you ever seen a beach with black sand? Because of constant volcanic activity, you'll find white sands and black sands on the island of Hawaii. Located on the southeastern Kau coast, Punaluu Black Sand Beach is one of the most famous black sand beaches in Hawaii. Located between the towns of Pahala and Naalehu in Kau, Punaluu Black Sand Beach's jet black shores are an unforgettable sight. Coconut palms fringe the upper edge of sand and you may also discover large honu, (Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles), basking on the beach. Although it may be tempting, do not touch these protected turtles and do not remove any black sand from the beach. Although swimming isn't ideal, there is a picnic area and restroom facilities so you can have lunch while you experience the unique feeling of black sand between your toes. Punalu’u beach is the most famous black sand beach of Hawaii and is also known as just ‘Black Sand Beach’. Besides the obvious black sands, another reason for the popularity of this beach is that you can often see endangered Hawksbill turtles and green turtles basking in the sun on the beach! Punalu’u is an expansive and easily accessible black sand beach on the Big Island. It is a great place to go for swimming, snorkeling, a (short) coastal hike, camping (with permit), or a picnic.

Reynisdrangar are basalt sea stacks situated under the mountain Reynisfjall near the village Vík í Mýrdal, southern Iceland. Legend says that the stacks originated when two trolls dragged a three-masted ship to land unsuccessfully and when daylight broke they became needles of rock.

Dozens of endangered Hawai'ian Green Sea Turtles swim the waters of Kuhua Bay, Ninole Cove and Punalu'u Harbor and frequently bask on Kaimu Beach here. The wildness of the ocean and the serenity of the freshwater fishpond and coconut palm-shaded beaches make this an ideal place to spend some soul-recharge time. Then we visited Kaimu Black Sand Beach, where lava flows had reached the shore line just three years ago.

Green Sea Turtles coming for rest on Richardson Black Sand Beach and a cute Sandpiper Hilo Big Island Hawaii Green sea turtle Family: Cheloniidae Genus: Chelonia Binomial name: Chelonia mydas Historically, green turtles have played a large role in Polynesian and Micronesian cultures. In addition to being used as a food source, native peoples all over the Pacific utilized all parts of the turtle making tools and jewelry out of the bones, and containers and utensils out of the carapace. Turtle fat was sometimes used for medicinal purposes to treat burns and other skin disorders. Turtles were often considered the property of the tribal chief and their utilization was regulated by some form of island council. In the Hawaiian Islands, there were families that considered the green turtle a personal family deity or aumakua, not to be eaten or harmed. One legendary example is the story from the Big Island of Hawaii of the turtle named Kauila. She was believed to be able to change at will into human form to watch over the village children playing near the shore. Artistic elements of green turtles have also been featured prominently in some cultures of the region, such as petroglyphs and tattoo designs. http://www.fpir.noaa.gov/PRD/prd_green_sea_turtle.html http://www.turtles.org/hawgrnd.htm http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Green_sea_turtle The green sea turtle (Chelonia mydas), also known as the green turtle, black (sea) turtle, or Pacific green turtle, is a large sea turtle of the family Cheloniidae. It is the only species in the genus Chelonia. Its range extends throughout tropical and subtropical seas around the world, with two distinct populations in the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. The common name comes from the usually green fat found beneath its carapace. C. mydas is mostly herbivorous. The adults usually inhabit shallow lagoons, feeding mostly on various species of seagrasses. Like other sea turtles, green sea turtles migrate long distances between feeding grounds and hatching beaches. Many islands worldwide are known as Turtle Island due to green sea turtles nesting on their beaches. Females crawl out on beaches, dig nests and lay eggs during the night. Later, hatchlings emerge and scramble into the water. Those that reach maturity may live to eighty years in the wild. C. mydas is listed as endangered by the IUCN and CITES and is protected from exploitation in most countries. It is illegal to collect, harm or kill them. In addition, many countries have laws and ordinances to protect nesting areas. However, turtles are still in danger due to human activity. In some countries, turtles and their eggs are hunted for food. Pollution indirectly harms turtles at both population and individual scales. Many turtles die caught in fishing nets. Also, real estate development often causes habitat loss by eliminating nesting beaches. http://www.fpir.noaa.gov/PRD/prd_green_sea_turtle.html And as per my YT friend wzukr the cute bird is a Black-bellied Plover in non-breeding plumage. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grey_plover http://birds.audubon.org/birds/black-bellied-plover http://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/black-bellied_plover/id Semipalmated sandpiper http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Semipalmated_sandpiper The semipalmated sandpiper (Calidris pusilla) is a very small shorebird. Adults have black legs and a short, stout, straight dark bill. The body is dark grey-brown on top and white underneath. The head and neck are tinged light grey-brown. This bird can be difficult to distinguish from other similar tiny shorebirds, in particular the western sandpiper; these are known collectively as "peeps" or "stints".

Sand is a naturally occurring granular material composed of finely divided rock and mineral particles. It is defined by size, being finer than gravel and coarser than silt. ... For example, it is the primary form of sand apparent in areas where reefs have dominated the ecosystem for millions of years like the Caribbean.
