I Saw A Ship A Sailing, A Sailing On The Sea - Nursery Rhymes Songs - Baby Songs - English Rhymes

02:39
I saw a ship a-sailing, A-sailing on the sea; And oh, it was all laden With pretty things for thee! There were comfits in the cabin, And apples in the hold; The sails were made of silk, And the masts were made of gold. The four and twenty sailors, That stood between the decks, Were four and twenty white mice, With chains about their necks. The captain was a duck, With a packet on his back; And when the ship began to move, The captain said, "Quack, Quack!" The longest sail - 3500NM from Ecuador Salinas to French Polynesia, Marquesas Hiva Oa. What can I say - it is very special... But I'm happy it's over! 21 days, 8 hours at sea - times goes by slowly, but after it's done - feels so good. It did make us better sailors and hopefully better people with appreciation to our nature and this huge ocean.

► SAILING ACROSS THE ATLANTIC Part 1/5

43:05
Arved Fuchs and his team on their most recent expedition across the North Atlantic begins on the 80-year-old sailing ship "Dagmar Aaen", from Greenland's west coast, via Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, Ireland and Scotland to the North German coast. It is a journey full of unforgettable experiences: unspoilt nature, rugged coasts, remote islands and extraordinary people who live with and off of the sea. For more than 30 years, German Arved Fuchs has undertaken ships expeditions to the most remote regions of our planet. He is mostly attracted to ice. There, on the west coast of Greenland, the cutter Dagmar Aaen, spent seven long winter months. This is where the five part series begins, which will come to an end after 12.000 nautical miles (ca. 22.000 kilometres) and more than four months later in the native North Sea.

Such storms can last for three days with wind of 85 knots , which is much greater than the force of a hurricane. Yachts can not always come out unscathed from such severe storms. This storm has once again confirmed that the wind and waves to predict the hurricane force of events impossible. A Scary Start To Our Atlantic Crossing - Sailing L'Attitude - Ep 20

18:15
And we’re OFF! Joined by Keith and Fred (who you will get to know very quickly…) we depart Las Palmas and head off to Barbados. It’s a blissful, autopilot driven, legs up and beer in hand kind of start, but as we round the corner of the island Gran Canaria, the winds build and we are in for a rough first few days… Between camera issues, sea sickness, rope breakages and galley spillages, we can still all vouch that it is one of the most amazing experiences a person can ever undergo. So proud of all of us for completing it in such good spirits and with fairly minimal drama… Sarah X Check out the video above and let us know what you think by liking or subscribing. On December 21st, 2016 the Coombes family were forced to abandon Dove II, their sailboat and home, in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. This video is the account of their rescue from our perspective as the crew of Tilly Mint - the sailboat that answered the mayday. For those of you who follow along with our Monday Never adventures, this video is coming out of sequence. We think that it is important to tell this story in as close to real-time as possible to help garner support for this family. *UPDATE - Jan 24* Thanks to the incredible generosity of hundreds of people, the fundraising goal has been surpassed by a mile, so we're closing the campaign. The outpouring of support has been truly incredible. You all are a testament to the goodness of people. - Will ** Update - Jan 28 ** The Coombes family is still searching for their boat and have written a detailed account of the rescue from their perspective. They have also created a new GoFundMe page for those of you interested in learning more and further supporting their efforts: https://www.gofundme.com/wxjjvvk-keeping-the-dream-alive You can also find out more information by reading the family's blog account: https://westerlyadventures.wordpress.com/2016/12/31/atlantic-crossing-week-3/ -- Music: Epidemic Sound Camera Equipment: - PRIMARY: Sony a6000: http://amzn.to/2bPrpT2 - WIDE ANGLE: GoPro: http://amzn.to/29XJRpz

Australian Couple Living on a Sailboat & Traveling the World

05:53
In this video we meet Elayna & Riley, an Australian couple living on a sailboat. Their boat, the SV La Vagabonde, is a 43.4 foot Beneteau Cyclades that Riley bought in Italy. The couple have been living on the boat for over a year, and sailed it from the Mediterranean to the Caribbean, with a fairly smooth Atlantic crossing in between. Once they get their fill of the Caribbean they'll be sailing to Australia and possibly continuing on from there to do a complete circumnavigation of the globe. On board they have 2 flexible solar panels and a wind generator for power, and a water maker to turn salt water into fresh drinking water. The couple had very little sailing experience to start with but they learned the ropes quite quickly. We would be hesitant to do the same without taking some sailing courses but it seems to have worked out really well for these guys; and we love watching videos of their adventures. You can follow them on YouTube & via their blog: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCZdQjaSoLjIzFnWsDQOv4ww http://sailing-lavagabonde.com You can also see a tour of their sailboat here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TKm2FX9kKZ4 Thanks for watching! The industry's rapid growth has seen nine or more newly built ships catering to a North American clientele added every year since 2001, as well as others servicing European clientele. Smaller markets, such as the Asia-Pacific region, are generally serviced by older ships. These are displaced by new ships in the high growth areas. The world's largest cruise ship is currently Royal Caribbean International's Allure of the Seas beating her sister ship (the Oasis of the Seas) by 5 centimetres. Rough Seas, Strong Winds! Hang onto your knickers! (Sailing Nandji) Ep 102

22:36
Huge Rough Seas, Strong 30 knot winds on the nose, all makes a difficult up wind Offshore 400nm passage! https://www.sailingnandji.com This video is a in depth view of what life at sea is really like and the problems faced at all hours of the night. This week on Sailing Nandji, the time has come to depart the beautiful island of Wayag. The upwind passage of 400nm to the city of Ambon was no easy task. The strong trade winds however had been howling through the area for over a week and showed no sign of easing. We put on our PFDs and big boy pants and tackled the rough seas. With strong winds of 30 knots on the nose, it made for some challenging sailing at first. Then days into the passage, the wind disappears and we are left with our broken motor drifting at sea for days... NANDJI"S NEW MOTOR If you wish to contribute towards our campaign of getting Nandji a new engine in 2 months time, then please donate to the link below! Shhh my real name is Jarrad! Thanks for the help in making this project of ours a reality! https://www.paypal.me/SailingNandji We are a young couple with a dog, who with no sailing experience, bought a yacht, got it blue water cruising ready and set off sailing around the Pacific! We have been in Indonesia for a couple of months cruising and our now high tailing to Malaysia for boat work. We departed Australia 18 months ago and have since explored some amazing countries, met some amazing people and experienced cultures, dived pristine reefs, surfed solo in the middle of no where, spent weeks at sea, dealt with storms, big waves, strong winds and had the time of our life doing it! Proceeds from this video will go to the Coral Reef Alliance, but you can also support me directly (and specifically the production of these videos) by becoming a Patron: https://www.patreon.com/theadventuresoftarka Tarka is a 1973 Albin Vega 27 (8.2m) that I bought sight-unseen and without sailing experience on the island of St. Martin in April of 2017. I was thrust head-first into ocean sailing as I got Tarka safely south from what would become the most devastating hurricane seasons on record. We are now working our way west towards the Pacific. I am sailing Tarka around the world in part to raise money and awareness for coral conservation by supporting the Coral Reef Alliance. You can learn more here: http://www.theadventuresoftarka.com/fundraiser or visit their website directly: http://www.coral.org If you make a donation to their website directly in Tarka's honor, please send me an e-mail copy of your receipt so I can keep track of Tarka's fundraising. You can forward to: [email protected] Additional support for Tarka’s sail for CORAL (The Coral Reef Alliance) comes from donations by: Soylent - Healthy provisioning for the long offshore passages Sta Lok - Swage-less terminals for portions of Tarka’s rigging, making it an easy DIY job and allowing for easy inspection === Music credits: Castleshire - Chris Haugen Markvard - Catch Our Moment (Vlog No Copyright Music) Music provided by Vlog No Copyright Music. Sailing Southampton to Skye - drama on high seas

This entertaining video documentary covers a rare voyage in a monuhull for me that confirmed my hatred of them. Nevertheless we had an EVENTFUL trip in 2010 sailing in yacht Clyde from Southampton towards Craig Irvine's destination, the Isle of Skye in Scotland. Something went wrong pretty well every day!

SCARED FOR MY LIFE! Sailing at 22 knots boat speed down HUGE waves (Sailing La Vagabonde) Ep. 105

13:09
Yep, La Vagabonde reached 22.7 knots boat speed. We couldn’t believe it. With a max of 28 knots wind behind us from about 120 degrees, we surfed down one wave and then caught the next one in front of that. Before we knew it we were all looking at a 22.7 on the nav gear. I had a close eye on the bows making sure they weren't going to bury, they looked like they might but Riley "promised" me that it was normal and fine!! Matthieu says we could have got 25 knots so looks like Riley will be aiming for that next time… I never thought I’d go this fast on a sail boat. Still in recovery from this wild experience. Very happy to still be here to tell you this tale, to be alive and writing this very description is a miracle. I love you guys, Elayna.
