How Tomato Ketchup Is Made | How To

05:05
How Tomato Ketchup Is Made | How To A typical tomato Ketchup would be based on sieved or whole tomatoes, and/or tomato paste. It would also contain water, sugar, vinegar, salt, and seasoning. ... Tomato ketchup is a condiment manufactured with similar ingredients, although paste is used rather than whole tomatoes. Application Reports Manufacture of Tomato Sauces and Ketchups Tomato sauces are used in many products including frozen foods, pasta sauces and pizza toppings, etc. A typical tomato sauce would be based on sieved or whole tomatoes, and/or tomato paste. It would also contain water, sugar, vinegar, salt and seasoning. The desired product viscosity would normally be achieved using a starch-based thickener. Tomato ketchup is a condiment manufactured from similar ingredients, although paste is used rather than whole tomatoes. Premium quality ketchups with a high solids content derive their viscosity from a combination of water retention of the fibrous strands in the paste and the gelling effect of pectin found naturally in tomatoes. High-pressure homogenization is also used to obtain the desired viscosity. This is common with lower solids content ketchup, which may also contain starch-based thickeners. The Process:- The recipe, viscosity and solids content of sauces and ketchup vary widely according to the end user. Typical process requirements are as follows: -Mixing apparatus must be capable of dispersing powdered ingredients into the water to form an agglomerate-free product. -If the product is made from whole peeled tomatoes, these require chopping and pulping before addition to the mix. -Insoluble particles in the tomatoes need to be fully dispersed and “milled” to obtain a smooth texture and even dispersion of the pigment (carotin) to give depth of color. -Fibrous strands in the tomatoes must be fibrillated (frayed) to raise capacity for water retention, which increases viscosity. -Once mixed, the product may be passed through a high-pressure homogenizer or colloid mill to obtain the required consistency. The Advantages:- -Dramatically reduced processing times -Rapid dispersion of thickeners and stabilizers -Improved yield of ingredients -Smoother texture and improved product consistency -Improved color -The product fed to the homogenizer is uniform and of low particle size, allowing faster processing through the homogenizer and fewer passes required -Some sauces with low solids content may not require homogenization -Special "low shear" head available for processing whole tomatoes to eliminate risk of milling pips -A Silverson mixer can be used as a "polishing step" after homogenization to improve texture, viscosity, and sheen to ketchup

Hyper-V Hardware Requirements

09:26
This video will look at the hardware requirements for Hyper-V. Check out http://YouTube.com/ITFreeTraining or http://itfreetraining.com for more of our always free training videos. If your computer does not meet these requirements you will not be able to run Hyper-V. Download the PDF handout http://ITFreeTraining.com/handouts/hyperv/requirements.pdf Hyper-V requires a 64bit CPU. 32bit CPU’s are not supported. For both Intel and AMD CPU’s Data Execution Prevention (DEP) must be supported. This has been supported for a long time so it is likely that modern CPU’s support this. For Intel CPU’s eXecute Disabled (XD) and AMD No eXecute (NX) is required. Lastly the BIOS is required to support virtualization. It may need to be updated in order to support this requirement. All featured CPU’s released after 2006 should support these features. Some CPU’s, for example low powered CPU’s, may not support these features since they are not full featured CPU’s. If you want to check the CPU, there are free tools from Microsoft, AMD and Intel, however these are required to be installed and in some of the tools you may need to know what to look for. A free tool called SecureAble is available which can quickly tell if your computer supports virtualization. Also, if you attempt to install the Hyper-V role, a check is performed and if the computer does not meet the requirements, the install of the role will fail. Intel and AMD both have product web sites where you can check your CPU to make sure that it meets the requirements. Demonstration SecurAble 02:19 Open Internet Explorer and go to the web site http://www.grc.com/securable 02:28 From the website, select the option at the bottom “download now” and then select “run”. 02:35 SecurAble will run without any installation. The 3 options on the screen will tell you if your computer meets the 3 requirements. If 64 is displayed, the CPU is 64bit. If Yes is displayed for Hardware DEP then this is displayed. If Yes is disabled for hardware virtualization, then your CPU meets the requirements and also virtualization is enabled in the BIOS. Demonstration Intel ARK The Intel ark web site allows information about Intel products to be obtained and also different Intel products to be compared with each other. 03:25 Open the web site http://ark.intel.com/ 03:42 The option advanced search is not available from the home page. To access it, select any CPU. In this case the option “Intel High End Desktop Processors” was selected. 03:55 Once the page has opened, select the option on the top right “Feature Filter”. 04:00 To perform a search of all CPU’s, press the X next to “High End CPU’s” at the top of the screen. This will remove the High End CPU’s filter and allow all CPU’s to be searched. 04:10 From the left hand side select “Intel 64” to Yes and “Intel Virtualization” to No. Once the options have been selected, press search. This will show all the Intel 64bit CPU’s that do not support virtualization. This will show that all the low powered CPU’s like Atom do not support virtualization. 04:48 Change the virtualization setting to Yes and press search again. This will show all 64bit CPU’s that support virtualization. The results will show quite a lot of matches. It is most likely that if you have a full featured CPU made after 2007 it will support virtualization. Demonstration AMD Product Central 05:09 Select your required language from the home page. In this case United States –English was selected. 05:18 The main screen is divided into different section, notebook, desktop and Server. You will need to make sure that you select the right one for the type of CPU that you have. In this case the option for Desktop Processors was selected. 05:29 There is no option for 64bit CPU, however AMD released its first 64bit CPU back in 2003 so if you have an AMD CPU, there is a good chance that it is a 64bit CPU. In this case virtualization is set to no. There is only a small number of CPU’s that are listed. 05:46 Select option “clear filter” to clear the existing filter and then set the option “AMD Virtualization Technology” to Yes. You can see there are a lot of results. If your CPU was purchased after 2008 it most likely meets all these requirements. If the CPU was released after this, check on this web site to make sure that it meets the requirements. Business Process Flow - Materials Requirements Planning

08:42
Summary: MRP -- Planning system that looks at Quantity on Hand (QOH) and nets it against future allocations and receipts, then produces planned orders, or advice, to users to keep the correct amount of inventory on hand to meet customer needs at any given time. Dependent Demand Items (DDIs) are items whose demand is dependent upon the demand of higher level items in the bill of materials structure. (Ex: car side mirror sales are dependent on the sale of the particular car to which they belong) When the MRP system runs, it releases planned orders. Normally, this happens just after midnight, but users have the option to run it at any time and can also do it manually. To view the MRP plan, navigate to the scheduling module, then reports, then planned orders. Users could also hit the planned orders by planner code tab at the top of the screen. If users want to run MRP but do not want to have the order released, firming the order will keep the order there, and it will be taken into account as a source of supply or a requirement for demand. To manually release planned MRP orders, right click on the order itself. This will give you the option to Firm, Change, Delete or Release the order. Users can release groups of orders at once but going to the schedule tab and then release planned orders. Users can then apply a cutoff date, and the system show all orders up to that date. They can then be released altogether. (xTuple Version 3.1.0)

TRUMPF beam guidance: PFO 33 - Precise cutting with image processing

01:14
Further information: https://www.trumpf.com/en_INT/products/lasers/processing-optics/ TRUMPF feature recognition visualizes your processes and ensures that they are always carried out at precisely the right location. Features such as edges or drill holes are automatically recognized by the image processing, thereby increasing the process reliability and efficiency of your production. The use of image processing enables positioning requirements to be sharply reduced because the location of the feature is directly transferred to the machine or laser control. During setup this also greatly facilitates administration of type and variant diversity. Furthermore, you achieve even higher seam quality, e.g. via more precise positioning of the beginning and end of the weld seam.
