TOP 5 WEAPONS INDIA EXPORTING

05:57
TOP 5 WEAPONS INDIA EXPORTING INTRODUCTION: India accounted for 14 per cent of total weapons imports between 2011 and 2015. India remains the world’s largest weapons importer over the five-year period according to latest report of the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI). India is not known to export defense equipments. But in last 2 years , India under the leadership of PM Modi is trying to change that, with ‘Make in India’ initiative. The idea is to design & manufacture in India & export it to other countries, which will bring in foreign exchange. Defense Minister Manohar Parrikar has set a target to raise India’s defense exports to $2 billion in the next two years from the current $330 million In this video , we will look into 5 products , India is exporting or plans to export over the next few years. AKASH MISSILE: Akash is a Surface-To-Air Missile System developed by DRDO with contribution from 61 Indian public and private sector companies. Its all-weather missile, enjoying high immunity against active and passive jamming & is designed to kill adversaries at an altitude as low as 30 meters to as high as 18 to 20 km. The best part is that DRDO coordinated work with other agencies, including the users that is the Indian Airforce & Indian Army to produce this system. It has found takers among friendly foreign nations such as Thailand and Belarus, which have shown and expressed interest in acquiring the Akash missile system. SHIPS & PATROL VEHICLES: MCGS Barracuda built by Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers, Kolkata, for National Coast Guard of Mauritius is an example of successful export. India joined the elite club of warship exporters when GRSE delivered it to Mauritius on 20 December 2014. The contract was worth $58.5 million. The Indian government has already cleared export of 13 warships to Mauritius, which will be supplied over the next few years. This include two Fast Patrol Vessels (FPVs) and 11 Fast Attack Crafts. India also has agreed on supplying ships to Vietnam. The sale of at least four patrol vessels comes as part of the $100 million credit line for military equipments extended to Vietnam by India. The patrol vessels will be about 35 meters in length, 10 meters broad. These will have specialized Aluminum Hull, & will be used to patrol the waters close to the shore. Vietnam needs at least 7 more such ships ,and GRSE is expected to get the order for the rest of the ships as well. Besides, it is also in the race to export two light Frigates - about 3500 tons each at a total cost of Rs. 2000 crore - to The Philippines. LCH: The HAL LIGHT COMBAT HELICOPTER (LCH) is a multirole combat helicopter being developed by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) for use by the Indian Defense forces. It has now caught the eye of African countries. According to a PTI report, India is in talks with “certain” countries in Africa for possible export of the LCH. Japan has also shown keen interest in acquiring the HAL LCH, after it became the first helicopter of its kind ,to have landed at an altitude of 16,000 feet from the sea level. No other light combat helicopter has achieved this feat. BRAHMOS: The BrahMos is a ramjet supersonic cruise missile that can be launched from submarines, ships, aircraft or land. It is considered to the the most deadly Anti ship missile. It is a joint venture between the Russian Federation's NPO Mashinostroeyenia and India's Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) ,who have together formed BrahMos Aerospace. Talks are in advanced stage with Vietnam for export. Negotiations are also currently underway with Chile, Brazil, South Africa and Indonesia. Tejas: The HAL Tejas is a single-seat, single-jet engine, multi-role light fighter designed by the Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA) and Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) for Indian Airforce. Sources said enquiries by foreign countries came during the Bahrain air show in January, the very first time that Tejas flew outside the country. As per the report Sri Lanka, Egypt have shown interest in the aircraft. Sri Lanka had recently rejected Pakistan's JF-17 aircraft built with Chinese help, & is now looking into Tejas. Egypt had last year signed a contract for 24 French-made Rafale fighter jets, & are now looking acquire some multirole light fighter. Interestingly, soon after the announcement of Tejas' participation in Bahrain, Pakistan had withdrawn its JF-17 aircraft from the show despite having paid the initial installment which ran into a few millions US dollars.

Sanction Russia? Keep your agricultural Products

03:33
Russian PM Dmitry Medvedev has signed a decree on the full ban for imports of beef, pork, poultry meat, fish, cheese, milk, vegetables and fruit from Australia, Canada, the EU, the US and Norway for a year. Russia’s agricultural watchdog Rosselkhoznadzor has announced plans to increase imports from Chile, which could include vegetables, fruit, fish, shellfish, meat and milk. In 2013, Russia imported $6.7 billion of meat and meat products in total. The largest suppliers came from now-banned countries like Denmark (6.6% of total Russian meat products), Germany (6.4%), USA (5.3%), and Canada (3.8%). This will hurt many farmers who are caught in the middle. Channel "RT TV" http://rt.com/business/178636-russia-bans-products-medvedev/

Official veterinary control of exported Russian food products

05:56
Official veterinary control of exported Russian food products A wide range of developing agricultural companies has been formed in Russia. They are highly competitive in the food market and raise extensive funds for their development. Significant investment in large agro-industrial holdings as well as the government’s financial support, allow for the intensive ramping up of animal production. As a result, the industry doesn’t only meet national demand for meat and fish but also demonstrates sustained annual growth. Well-managed business processes assist in achieving better development in global agricultural markets. The intense international trade is preceded by detailed but extremely extensive operations of the Russian competent authorities. Each establishment having an intention to become an exporter is subject to detailed inspection by the Veterinary Service; first of all, the preparedness of the business operator to comply with the veterinary and sanitary requirements of an importing country is being checked.

Turkish products to see high demand during 2018 World Cup in Russia

04:20
Turkish products to see high demand during 2018 World Cup in Russia With less than a month until the first whistle blows for the 2018 World Cup and Turkey will keenly take its place at the giant event, as demand for Turkish products imported by Russia is expected to increase significantly. Within the scope of the mega event, Turkey is already experiencing order mobility in sectors such as fresh fruits, vegetables, fishery products, textiles and apparel. In a statement to Anadolu Agency (AA) Aegean Fresh Fruits and Vegetables Exporters Association Chairman Hayrettin Uçak said Russia is one of the most important markets for Turkey's fresh produce exports. Pointing out that Russia gets almost all its products from Turkey, Uçak said that the increase in summer fruit exports has been noteworthy in the recent period following improved relations between the two countries. Uçak said the World Cup, which will be organized in 11 Russian cities from June 14 to July 15, is expected to attract millions of visitors to Russia. "This organization held in our biggest market, Russia, will contribute greatly to Turkish exporters, manufacturers and finally the Turkish economy," he said. "We are hearing from our colleagues in the sector that demands are already coming. This demand will increase as the organization date approaches. We are prepared as the entire sector." Turkish Fishery and Animal Products Sector Board Chairman Sinan Kızıltan also pointed to a positive impact that the World Cup will have on their export of fishery products. He pointed out that the sector previously achieved significant export success with the Olympics in the past. "Hotels and restaurants are making their preparations in accordance with the eating habits of these tourists. From Turkey, one of the world's leading exporters of fishery products, especially perch, bream and trout will go to this organization," Kızıltan said. EXPORTS TO RUSSIA UP 63 PERCENT Turkey's exports to Russia stood at $1.098 billion in the January-April period of this year, according to data released by the Eastern Black Sea Exporters Association (DKİB) yesterday. The DKİB said around 868,000 tons of products were exported to Russia in the first four months of the year. When looking at the same period last year, Turkey exported around 612,084 tons to Russia and saw a revenue of around $673.44 million. Thus, exports to the country increased by 42 percent on a quantity basis, while they increased by 63 percent on a value basis. The fresh fruits and vegetables sector led the way in exports to Russia with around $202.184 million. That is an in crease of 91 percent on a quantity basis from last year, while there was an increase of 125 percent on a value basis. Elaborating on the data, DKİB Chairman Saffet Kalyoncu said Russia is the most important market for the fresh produce sector. On a year-to-year basis, Turkey's exports to Russia stood at $938 million in 2014, $877 million in 2015, $331 million in 2016 and $638 million in 2017. Kalyoncu added that there was an increase of 125 percent in the exports of fresh fruits and vegetables to Russia in the January-April period, which he said occurred with the lifting of the restrictions on fresh fruits and vegetables. "This sector is followed by vehicles and sub-industry and chemicals and chemical products," he continued. "With the removal of the restrictions on tomato products and the continuation of free trade, exports will reach higher figures in the upcoming period."

USC — the largest shipbuilding company in Russia: commercial products

03:38
The United Shipbuilding Corporation is an open joint stock company established on March 21, 2007 in accordance with Russian President Vladimir Putin’s Decree # 394. 100% of its shares are publicly owned. The Corporation is the largest shipbuilding company in Russia employing over 80,000 people. It includes about 40 domestic shipyards, design offices and ship repair yards. USC’s enterprises operate in all major port and transportation hubs of the country — from Kaliningrad in the west to Vladivostok in the east and from Severodvinsk in the north to Astrakhan in the south. USC has consolidated over 80% of design and production capacities of the industry and is the leader in shipbuilding across the area stretching from the Baltic Sea to the Pacific Ocean. USC’s design offices are responsible for almost all warships that are built and developed for the Russian Navy and foreign customers. Moreover, our naval materiel and weapons are traditionally distinguished by high reliability combined with combat efficiency, easy maintenance and low cost operation. Along with implementing state defense order for the Russian Navy and export orders under MTC agreements, the Corporation builds a modern fleet for operations at sea, in offshore and inland waterways. At the same time, meeting local companies’ demands for icebreakers, transport, research, rescue and auxiliary vessels, as well as a wide range of marine equipment for continental shelf development is the largest industrial challenge facing USC in civil shipbuilding. Shaping our export policy, we focus on the areas of international cooperation that encompass the entire lifecycle of naval products: market research, specifications preparation, design, production planning, manufacturing, delivery, operation and disposal. We are the shipbuilding professionals with unique experience of successful Arctic development, construction and support of one of the most capable fleets in the world.

RUSSIA IDENTIFIES 19 COMPANIES FOR MANUFACTURE OF DEFENCE PRODUCTS AND SPARES

01:51
Russia has identified about 19 companies in India to manufacture defence products and provide spares and components of Russian platforms currently being used by India’s defence forces, Defence Production secretary Ajay Kumar said. “It (the JVs) brings down our cost, reduces the delay in terms of getting the spares, getting the servicing done (which) in turn again reduces the cost of keeping a certain level of inventory. These will open up huge opportunities for manufacturing in India, both for Indian needs and exports,” Dr. Kumar said on the sidelines of a CII conference on Aerospace and Defence Manufacturing Technologies here. He also said India was in the process of finalising the security agreement with the United States that would enable classified information to be shared between the industries of India and the U.S. “so that greater amount of industry-to-industry linkage can take place”. The Defence Ministry is also in the process of setting up an indigenisation portal which is likely to be ready in about six months. “There are about 1.1 lakh items (defence parts) that need to be indigenised. “To make this simple and to make easier access for industry, we are setting up an indigenisation portal,” he said. In addition, the Ministry is toying with the idea of providing a certificate to attest the technical capabilities of Indian defence products for companies that lose out during the bidding process. “We will give a certificate saying these goods were technically qualified and suitable for induction in Indian forces, so that you can go and use this to export to other countries,” Dr. Kumar added. 5 Mistakes New Importers Make When Importing Products from China

13:39
Discover the 5 mistakes new importers make when they are importing products from China. Don’t make the same mistakes! Get our free ebook: http://wholesaleted.com/4-step Freightos: http://wholesaleted.com/go/freightos First mistake importers make when importing products from China: Assuming that shipping by sea will be the cheapest option A lot of new importers think they will save money if they ship by sea rather than air. On the surface it seems cheaper as importers usually pay around 60 cents/KG when shipping via sea, compared to the $7/KG when shipping by air courier. Unfortunately what they don’t realize is that the reason it’s that cheap is because when shipping via sea, you ship via container, and you need to rent an entire container. They are very large and require you to be shipping hundreds of KGs to be making it worth your time. If you are an Amazon private label seller, you are unlikely to have enough stock being shipped to fill a container by at least 60-70% so it will be cheaper to ship by air. When shipping by air, you have two options: 1) Air freight 2) Air courier Air courier is when you have your items shipped door-to-door. It is the easiest but the most expensive per KG (although in smaller quantities it is cheaper). Air freight is when you have your items flown from one airport to the other. You will need to organize other additional services: * Having the items delivered to the airport * A customs broker * Having the items delivered from the airport to the final location. There are a lot of fixed fees with this which means it becomes cheaper to use air freight with larger quantities. To figure out which option will be cheaper for you, I recommend using Freightos. Second mistake importers make when importing products from China: Not using the Metric system In China, they use the Metric system and not the Imperial system. So be sure to use KGs instead of lbs and CM instead of inches. It’s important to remember that when working with Chinese suppliers that they expect you to work on their terms and their timeframes. It can be frustrating, but it’s worth it for the cheap Chinese products you import! Third mistake importers make when importing products from China: Using Less than Container Load for shipping When shipping by sea, you have two options: 1) FCL which stands for Full Container Load 2) LCL which stands for Less than Container Load Inexperienced importers fall for the trap of shipping with LCL because they see that the price are extremely cheap. What they don’t realize is that these LCL companies have special deals with the ports to charge you extremely high Destination Service Charges. The LCL companies then make their money in the form of a “rebate” which is essentially commissions/kickbacks. Destination Service Charges are usually priced per-container and cost between $500-$1000 per container for ports in the USA. But when shipping by LCL you end up paying a high fee per cubic meters. It means that you often end up paying a fee comparable to shipping an entire container. Don’t fall for this trap: If you can’t break even with FCL, then ship by air. Fourth mistake importers make when importing products from China: not calculating the correct duties you will need to pay When you import products from China, you will need to pay duties at the border. If you don’t calculate the correct rate you can get a shock if it comes back as more than you expected. Duties can be a bit complicated to work out because there are a lot of variables. For example, if you imported woolen jackets, you need to consider which country the wool came from, as some countries (like Israel) have duty-free agreements over wool, which would reduce the duties you had to pay. On the other hand if synthetic fibres were used instead of pure wool, then your duty rates would be higher since there are higher duties applied to synthetic fibres within the USA. To figure out what your duty rate is, find out what the HTS (Harmonized Tax System) code is for your item. To find this, ask your Chinese supplier as they will most likely know. You can then go through the HTS manual and find what the duty rate is for the HTS code of your products. Fifth mistake importers make when importing products from China: being afraid to make mistakes And finally - don’t be afraid to make mistakes. Through making mistakes you learn how to overcome them the next time and make even more money. Mistakes are apart of entrepreneurship. Learn from others - and learn from your own as well!

Please join us for the seventh joint conference of CSIS and the Centre for Polish-Russian Dialogue and Understanding (CPRDU), entitled, the "Transatlantic Forum on Russia." Since 2012 CSIS and CPRDU have partnered to examine the impact of Polish-Russian reconciliation and its wider regional and transatlantic implications. Following Russia’s 2014 illegal annexation of Crimea and military incursions into eastern Ukraine, and its military and covert operations in Syria, Salisbury, and elsewhere, the Forum’s focus has turned to formulating a long-term transatlantic policy framework towards Russia. The Forum convenes five months after the U.S.-Russia Summit in Helsinki, nine days after the U.S. mid-term elections, and four days after President Trump’s meeting with Russian President Putin in Paris on the margins of the centenarian commemoration of the end of the First World War. Regional and U.S. experts will assess the role that history plays in shaping both Russia’s and the West’s narrative as well as to examine the success that Russian malign influence has had in undermining confidence in democratic institutions and leaders in Europe and the United States. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Subscribe to our channel: http://cs.is/2dCfTve CSIS is the world's #1 defense and national security think tank.
