I can't tell I am near sighted..... but watching your technique and the beautiful colors of the finished product...looks absolutely beautiful. side note I do Macrame weaving using ribbons, silk, and satin knotting cords 3 mm or less in diameter then what your using. I am not sure of the type of material of the cords you use I can't see clearly but if yes I hope it benefits you in/on your future projects you can use a candle flame or lighter to sear the edges of the cords to avoid fraying for a cleaner edge. that color fabric and pattern I could see of it looks like it would make an awesome pair of matching shoes. i watched another beautiful lady on youtube take fabric and modge podge to apply fabric to an old beat up pair of shoes and made them look brand new. great idea when you can't afford new shoes.
Its nice

Beautiful! I wonder if it would be easier to wrap the rope using a ladder stitch (might save having to turn them with the safety pin and restitch maybe?). 🤗

Is the neckwear simply an adornment or does it have cultural significance?
beautarie (7 months ago)
You are welcome
Cookie Primrose (7 months ago)
Thanks for answering! I wanted to make one but wanted to make sure I understood what I was wearing so as not to offend. Thanks again.
beautarie (7 months ago)
It was inspired by the Dzilla worn by the Ndebele women of South Africa, which are ussually gold or copper rings given by a husband to the wife after marriage, the more the rings the wealthier the husband, But for me its just for adornment.

Beautiful! I love this and will try it soon! Hey, using a wooden skewer or knitting needle to turn the fabric is soooo much easier than the safety pin method.
beautarie (7 months ago)
Yes. a skewer is much easier, I had a metal one but unfortunately I misplaced it and could not find it that day...
